• Flipkart and WE Hub hosted a workshop in Hyderabad to help women entrepreneurs grow through e-commerce.
  • The session focused on product listing, pricing strategies, and platform-specific tools to expand market access.

In a significant step towards supporting women-led businesses, Flipkart, the Walmart-owned e-commerce platform, joined with WE Hub, a Government of Telangana initiative, to host a workshop to equip women entrepreneurs with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in the digital economy.

The workshop, held in Hyderabad, was designed to enhance awareness of e-commerce opportunities and provide practical training in key areas such as product listing, pricing strategies, and platform-specific tools.

The session enabled women entrepreneurs to tap into national markets, thereby expanding their reach and potential customer base.

More than 100 women entrepreneurs attended the event, reflecting strong engagement from the WE Hub community and reinforcing the importance of such initiatives in empowering women-led micro-enterprises.

Highlighting the objective behind the initiative, Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Flipkart Group, said,

“At Flipkart group, we believe in the power of inclusive entrepreneurship and the role technology can play in amplifying it. This belief is the foundation of our partnership with WE-Hub, which gives women entrepreneurs access to digital marketplaces and knowledge resources to help them realize their full potential.
The purpose of this workshop was to give WE-Hub entrepreneurs practical assistance in important areas like platform tools, pricing, and product listing.”

Kumar further emphasised the significance of such initiatives, stating,

“The WE-Hub community's robust participation reaffirmed the significance of these capacity-building programs.
Our goal is to create an ecosystem that gives business owners, particularly MSMEs, women & rural entrepreneurs the tools they need to succeed in the e-commerce industry.”

This workshop aligns with Flipkart’s broader mission through its Samarth program, launched in 2019.

The initiative aims to empower MSMEs, artisans, and underserved communities by connecting them with the digital economy via strategic partnerships with various government bodies across India.
