Nuvie, a Bengaluru-based food and beverage startup focused on healthy indulgence, has raised $450,000 (approximately ₹3.8 crore) in its maiden pre-seed funding round.

The round was led by startup accelerator PedalStart and attracted investments from prominent industry leaders.

Among the notable backers are Mukesh Bansal (founder of Myntra, Cult.fit, and Nurix), Ayyappan R (founder and CEO of FirstClub, former CEO of Cleartrip), Chanakya Gupta (co-founder of Tuco Kids, former SVP at Flipkart), and Arun Sharma (co-founder and CPO at Qlub UAE).

Founded in May 2024 by Prashant Paliwal and Hem Narayan, Nuvie is building a “Better-for-You” brand designed to meet the needs of health-conscious consumers without compromising on flavour.

Its debut product lineup includes lactose-free, ready-to-drink protein shakes, with plans to introduce five additional shake variants.

The company’s innovation pipeline also includes a protein-infused chocolate bar, a low-sugar reimagining of traditional sweets, and what it claims is India’s first protein cold coffee - “Proffee.”

Since its launch, Nuvie has achieved over ₹10 lakh in monthly revenue and is targeting an annualised revenue run rate (ARR) of ₹10 crore by the end of 2025.

Its products are already stocked in 100 premium retail outlets across major metros, including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai, as well as in over 200 gyms nationwide.

To scale further, the brand is also leveraging quick-commerce platforms such as Blinkit, Instamart, and BigBasket.

The freshly raised funds will be used to accelerate product development, ramp up brand-building efforts, and create engaging content to deepen consumer relationships and enhance market penetration.

“We're elated to raise our pre-seed round, a significant milestone in our journey to reimagine healthy eating…”

said Paliwal and Narayan, Co-Founders of Nuvie.
