- Faye Iosotaluno will step down as Tinder CEO in July after less than a year in the role.
- The Match Group CEO, Spencer Rascoff, will temporarily lead Tinder following her departure.
Faye Iosotaluno, CEO of dating app Tinder, has announced she will step down from her role in July. The news was shared in a LinkedIn post where she reflected on her time at the company, expressing pride in the team she helped build.
Iosotaluno has been with Tinder’s parent company, Match Group, for nearly eight years and held the CEO position for less than a year.
She described her next steps as “deeply personal” and shared insights into how her experience at Tinder has shaped her future goals.
“The consumer tech landscape is evolving in exciting, unpredictable ways — and so are my own ambitions,” Iosotaluno wrote.
“Building upon the headway and lessons I’ve learned at Tinder where diverse voices around the table make better and more impactful decisions, I’m drawn to replicating that progress by supporting and building alongside the next generation of women leaders, founders, and investors.”
In response to the upcoming transition, Match Group CEO Spencer Rascoff announced he will take over leadership responsibilities at Tinder.
He acknowledged the preparation involved in making the leadership shift smooth.
“I’m grateful for the time we’ve spent together over the past few months preparing for this news to ensure a smooth transition,” Rascoff said in his own LinkedIn post.
“As I step in to lead the team, I’m energized by the momentum you’ve helped create and excited to continue building with the exceptional leaders in place.”
The leadership change comes as Match Group works to reinvigorate growth at Tinder.
Earlier this month, the company revealed a 13% workforce reduction aimed at cutting costs and improving efficiency. According to Bloomberg, Tinder absorbed a significant portion of those layoffs.
