• The Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation has officially launched the 2025 Selangor Twin Accelerator Programme to boost top Malaysian startups and SMEs.
  • This year’s edition introduces two focused tracks—Retail Tech Xccelerator for B2C SMEs and Deep Tech Xccelerator (Deep-X) for AI-driven startups in agritech, healthtech, robotics, and sustainability.

The 2025 Selangor Twin Accelerator Programme is a two-pronged initiative established by the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) to launch Malaysia's most promising startups and small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) onto the regional and international scene.

Minister of Digital YB Gobind Singh Deo and Selangor State Executive Councillor for Investment, Trade, and Mobility YB Ng Sze Han officiated the launch ceremony, which took place at the Asia School of Business in Kuala Lumpur.

Two speciality tracks are being added to this year's program: the Selangor Retail Tech Xccelerator (Retail X) and the Selangor Deep Tech Xccelerator (Deep-X).

While Retail-X concentrates on high-potential B2C SMEs in industries like fashion, food & beverage, and wellness, Deep-X targets AI-driven deep tech businesses in industries like agritech, healthtech, robotics, and sustainability.

In-depth mentoring, market access, investor interaction, and assistance with digital infrastructure are all provided by both courses.

While Retail-X finalists will receive exposure through a fully sponsored innovation tour to ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok Shop, top-performing businesses in Deep-X will be chosen for an exclusive international mission to Plug & Play in Silicon Valley.

A strong network of key partners, including AFFIN, TikTok Shop, AEON, Shopline, Cradle, Xendit, DHL, and BytePlus, supports the Twin Accelerator.

Participating are more than 15 financial institutions, venture capital firms, and equity crowdfunding platforms that offer a range of funding alternatives and advising services.

As it celebrates its 10th anniversary, Sidec builds on a decade of impact, having helped raise RM203 million and supported over 320 entrepreneurs.

A key component of Sidec's goal to support 500 startups by 2030, the Twin Accelerator complements Selangor's and Malaysia's larger plan for the development of the digital economy.
