Digital lending platform LoanTap has secured Rs 74 crore in a pre-Series C funding round, as it eyes rapid expansion in its supply chain financing vertical.

The round includes Rs 54 crore in equity led by July Ventures, with participation from existing backers including 3one4 Capital, Avaana Capital, Kae Capital, and the Swapurna Family Office, which has supported the firm since inception.

In addition, LoanTap raised Rs 20 crore through venture debt, aimed at deepening its reach among small retailers through tailored supply chain financing solutions.

With India’s MSME credit gap pegged at Rs 33.2 lakh crore, LoanTap’s focus has sharpened on narrowing this divide using its proprietary engine, BICRI (Business Indicator for Credit Ratings in India).

The tool provides a transparent, data-backed view of a retailer's creditworthiness and allows lenders to make informed decisions using alternate risk assessments.

BICRI also integrates seamlessly with B2B e-commerce platforms, empowering distributors to set and scale credit limits for small retailers.

“India’s MSME sector is undergoing a massive transformation, and we plan to use this momentum to double down on invoice financing, an area we see as a powerful enabler for MSME growth across India,”

said Satyam Kumar, CEO & Co-founder, LoanTap.

LoanTap has financed over 4.5 lakh invoices worth more than Rs 1000 crore for 50,000+ retailers in the past two years.

With the new capital, it aims to onboard over 2 lakh retailers and fund a million invoices over the next 12 months, with an average invoice ticket size ranging from Rs 8,000 to Rs 15,000.

“At July Ventures, we believe in backing scalable digital platforms that are category-defining,” said a spokesperson from July Ventures.
