Bengaluru-based sportstech startup KhiladiPro has raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding round, co-led by Shastra VC and MGA Ventures, with participation from prominent family offices and angel investors including M Pallonji, Jeena and Co., Ayaz Billawala, Nimesh Kampani, and Jaimin Bhat.
Founded in August 2023 by Utkarsh Yadav, KhiladiPro, also known as KPro, is blending mobile-based visual AI with global athletic training frameworks to deliver standardised, scalable sports assessments for young athletes in India.
The startup plans to use the capital to enhance its proprietary AI models and scale operations nationwide.
So far, it has developed 56+ in-house AI models that assess children's athletic performance through video-based inputs, enabling coaches, parents, and schools to track development using standardised metrics.
Its key offerings include the KPro Sports Ability Test (SAT), which evaluates motor skills and physical conditioning via mobile assessments, and the Khiladi Ability Index (KAI), a unified rating system built on Fundamental Motor Skills (FMS) and the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model, both international benchmarks for youth sports development.
To expand its grassroots presence, KhiladiPro has already partnered with major institutions like the Karnataka Badminton Association, the Handball Association of India, and Delhi-based cricket league DLCL.
Beyond assessments, the startup also offers the Khiladi Klub, which provides tailored training for high-potential athletes, and the KPro Olympiad, a competitive school-wide format designed to benchmark and nurture talent at scale.
According to the IMARC Group, India’s sports tech market is expected to hit $1.5 billion by 2033.
As digitisation takes hold in grassroots sports, KhiladiPro positions itself at the intersection of scalable coaching, performance analytics, and athlete development.
