The announcement was made on May 21 and comes at a time when India’s Web3 ecosystem is gaining rapid momentum. The Aptos Foundation, known for backing the development of its high-performance, Layer-1 blockchain, is further cementing its presence in India with local support, infrastructure, and mentorship for developers and builders.
“India's Web3 community stands among the world's most vibrant and fastest-growing ecosystems, representing an exceptional talent pool that extends beyond crypto into the broader tech landscape,” said Ash Pampati, Head of Ecosystem at Aptos Foundation.
“This partnership with Hashed Emergent represents a significant milestone in our mission to foster Web3 innovation and grow the Aptos ecosystem in India.”
The new accelerator program is set to begin with registrations opening on May 21, followed by auditions for selected teams starting June 7 in key cities across India. The formal launch is scheduled for July 7, with a Demo Day showcasing the first cohort’s projects planned for August 2.
The initiative aims to provide early-stage Web3 startups with mentorship, subject matter expertise, funding, and access to a global network of developers, investors, and partners.
Tak Lee, CEO and Managing Partner of Hashed Emergent, noted,
“At Hashed Emergent, we have always believed that India will lead the next wave of Web3 innovation. What excites us most about collaborating with Aptos Foundation is their builder-first mindset and their deep, enduring commitment to India.”
This initiative builds upon the foundation laid by previous collaborations between the two organizations, including co-hosted developer workshops and Aptos Foundation’s title sponsorship of the India Blockchain Week (IBW) conference. Hashed Emergent, since its inception in 2022, has already invested over $20 million across more than 30 Web3 startups, further establishing its role as a key catalyst in the region.
The partnership aims to serve not just as a launchpad for scalable Indian Web3 startups, but also as a long-term effort to grow a resilient blockchain ecosystem that extends far beyond India. By aligning local talent with global infrastructure and capital, both Aptos Foundation and Hashed Emergent appear committed to driving meaningful, grassroots-level innovation in the decentralized internet space.
