MoonPay has introduced MoonPay Labs, an accelerator initiative aimed at supporting early-stage Web3 startups. The program will focus on technical teams at the pre-seed and seed stages, offering a combination of capital, product development support, and long-term growth strategies.

Operating under an evergreen model, MoonPay Labs plans to select up to five startups each year. The initiative will target projects in fast-developing areas of the Web3 space, including stablecoin infrastructure, agentic frameworks, decentralized finance (DeFi), SocialFi, and Web3 commerce.

According to MoonPay, the accelerator will provide a structured go-to-market strategy. Participating startups will gain access to user experience (UX) optimization workshops, guidance on token launches and listings, MoonPay’s suite of developer tools, a product sandbox, and feedback from the company's developer community.

“MoonPay’s unique position within the ecosystem allows us to identify and accelerate high-value projects across emerging use cases,” said Abhay M, Vice President of Corporate Development and Investments at MoonPay.
“MoonPay Labs is designed to support these trailblazing builders by providing founder-centric tailored support that offers them a competitive edge in company building.”

The first startup selected for MoonPay Labs is MoonGate, a Solana-based wallet-as-a-service platform. The platform is designed to simplify DeFi interactions, aiming to improve trading processes and transaction performance.

In addition to early-stage investment, MoonPay Labs may offer follow-on funding to help startups scale, potentially allowing founders to delay larger equity rounds and reduce early dilution.

MoonPay Labs operates under the company’s Corporate Development division, which also manages MoonPay Ventures. Since its launch in 2023, MoonPay Ventures has invested in more than 30 Web3 companies.
