With Globespan Capital Partners and EvolutionX Debt Capital as the anchors, conversational artificial intelligence (AI) pioneer Gupshup has declared the successful raising of over $60 million in a debt and equity composite fundraising round.
The funds will be utilised to enhance Gupshup's go-to-market strategies, grow its footprint in high-growth regions such as Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and India, and further develop its cutting-edge AI and messaging platform.
“Gupshup has been the market leader at every stage of industry evolution from basic messaging to conversational AI across text and voice, which has led to consistent revenue growth and margin expansion,” said Rahul Shah, Partner at EvolutionX Debt Capital.
Gupshup, with more than 50,000 enterprise customers across over 130 countries, empowers businesses to automate and personalise consumer engagement through advanced AI-driven voice and messaging solutions.
Top analysts such as Gartner, IDC, and Juniper have recognised the platform's capacity to deliver quantifiable business outcomes, including greater customer satisfaction, reduced costs, and improved conversion rates.
The firm is at an inflexion point, its founder and CEO, Beerud Sheth, said, as the need for AI agents shifts from proof-of-concept to business-critical infrastructure worldwide.
“We’re at an inflection point where AI agents are transitioning from experimental technology to business-critical infrastructure, leading to extraordinary global demand for our solutions. This funding positions us to capture that global opportunity,” Sheth said in a statement.
This latest investment will be used strategically to boost sales velocity, speed up product creation, and broaden Gupshup's influence in important industries across important global markets.
Gupshup, which was founded in 2004 and is run by Beerud Sheth, offers a conversational AI platform that lets companies create rich, lifelike customer interactions through voice and messaging channels.
Advanced AI-driven features, including AI agents, marketing automation tools, customised messaging, and customer support solutions, are supported by its platform.
