illumine, a full-stack AI-powered childcare management platform, has raised $2.5 million in seed funding to fuel global expansion. The company has a strategic focus on the U.S. market.

Prime Venture Partners led the round, which sees strong potential in illumine’s tech-driven approach to solving key operational challenges faced by childcare providers.

As the U.S. childcare sector struggles with workforce shortages, outdated systems, and tight margins, illumine aims to fill the gap with a comprehensive solution that digitises and simplifies operations.

Modernising an Underserved Industry

Founded in 2018 by Navneet Rastogi, Purva Goyal, and Sourabh Agarwal, illumine replaces fragmented tools and manual processes with an all-in-one AI platform.

The system automates lesson planning, manages staff scheduling, enables multilingual communication, and provides real-time business insights for centre owners.

“Our AI understands educator workflows and language,” said the CEO. “That’s the difference. This isn’t generic software — it’s a co-pilot in the classroom and a control panel for owners who need better visibility to grow.”

Shripati Acharya, Partner at Prime Venture Partners, said,

“Parents invest thousands of dollars annually in their children's early education, yet the childcare industry remains surprisingly underserved by modern technology.
This results in a frustrating experience for parents, teachers get bogged down in administrative tasks instead of focusing on education, and centres miss out on growth opportunities.”

Currently used in 56 countries, including the U.S., Southeast Asia, the UAE, and Europe, illumine has achieved nearly 200% year-over-year revenue growth and reports a churn rate below 1%.

The startup will use its new capital to deepen its presence in the U.S., expand its product capabilities, and integrate with local regulatory systems.

With its fully integrated platform covering enrollment, compliance, billing, parent engagement, curriculum, and analytics, illumine stands out, particularly among multi-site operators requiring centralised oversight.
