- Bengaluru-based CamCom Technologies has joined forces with Germany’s ERGO Group AG to deliver scalable, AI-powered visual inspection solutions across European insurance markets.
- In a boost to India’s deep-tech exports, CamCom’s AI technology is now live in multiple ERGO markets, simplifying claims and ensuring GDPR-compliant insurance automation.
Bengaluru deep-tech firm CamCom Technologies has entered into a strategic alliance with ERGO Group AG, one of the top insurance groups in Europe, to spearhead AI-driven insurance solutions in Europe.
The tie-up places CamCom as ERGO's key technology partner for its visual inspection platform, leveraging the capability of artificial intelligence (AI) to provide precise, efficient, and scalable damage estimates for motor and homeowners' insurance.
CamCom's Large Vision Model (LVM), which is proprietary and has been trained on more than 450 million customer-approved pictures, allows policyholders to take and upload pictures of their cars or homes with their mobile phones.
These images are processed by the AI model to detect and evaluate surface flaws and damage, minimising subjectivity, enhancing transparency, and simplifying claims processing for customers and insurers.
This solution is currently live in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, with phased rollouts to follow across the other ERGO markets in Europe.
The alliance highlights CamCom's growing international presence and the increasing need for digital transformation within the insurance industry.
With CamCom's AI, ERGO seeks to cement its goal of being a digital insurance leader by 2025.
The union also represents a milestone for India's deep-tech ecosystem, as it demonstrates the export of ready-to-implement AI solutions to global markets.
Mark Klein, Chief Digital Officer and Member of the Board of Management, ERGO Group AG, said, “Together, we aim to simplify and digitize insurance experiences for our customers’ workflows, helping validate the platform’s robustness, accuracy, and scale in real-world applications.
The partnership with ERGO Group AG signals the success and maturity of this collaboration.”
Executives from the two firms promoted the partnership as a testament to the scalability, dependability, and regulatory compliance of CamCom's technology, which is already being used by insurers worldwide and adheres to European GDPR standards.
