Andromeda Insights, a US-based PC maker, has been acquired by B3, a layer-3 gaming protocol built on Ethereum's Base network by ex-Coinbase engineers, in a bold move at the intersection of Web3 and gaming.

With the launch of the B3PC, a crypto-centric gaming desktop optimised for performance and security, this strategic investment marks B3's entry into the hardware space.

With its groundbreaking "Destroy" button, the B3PC offers two distinct security options: a physical destruction feature that fries NAND flash chips with high-voltage electrical pulses, ensuring that sensitive data, such as crypto keys, is completely erased and a secure digital destruction option that survives power loss.

These PCs have been tested in temperatures ranging from -55°C to 125°C (-67°F to 257°F). The PCs have power surge protection to guard against electrostatic damage and short circuits.

Along with supporting on-chain gaming and integrating a hardware-grade wallet, the PC also provides selectable offline and air-gapping modes for safe transactions.

The B3PC, which is tailored for B3's Base-chain environment, offers token rewards and exclusive airdrops via B3's blockchain network, and it supports more than 80 Web3 games, such as InfiniGods and Parallel.

Since 2021, Andromeda Insights has grown 1,700% annually, so the acquisition supports B3's goal of onboarding millions of people to on-chain gaming.

Shipments of the B3PC are anticipated in Q1 2026, and pre-orders are available with a $200 refundable deposit.

July 2025 is the planned date for the complete product reveal.
