360 ONE Asset, the asset management division of 360 ONE WAM, has launched a ₹500 crore ($60 million) early-stage venture capital fund, deepening its commitment to India’s growing startup ecosystem.
The fund is part of the firm’s broader ₹25,000 crore private equity platform.
This sector-agnostic fund aims to support high-growth areas such as consumer tech, fintech infrastructure, generative AI, spacetech, defence, and advanced manufacturing.
It targets startups from their first institutional round to later stages, maintaining a high-ownership, board-level role in portfolio companies.
Bridging the VC Gap
Led by Abhishek Nag—formerly with Meta and Uber and now Senior Fund Manager and Strategy Head for Early-Stage VC—the fund is positioned to fill the investment gap between micro-VCs and large global funds.
“We aim to bridge the white space between India’s robust micro-VC ecosystem and the large global funds – by backing founders early and supporting them with patient, long-term capital throughout their growth journey,” said Nag.
He emphasised a disciplined investment strategy rooted in diligence, value creation, defined exits, and co-investment opportunities for strategic partners.
A Head Start with Four Startups
The fund has already made initial investments in four ventures: a hybrid-casual gaming startup with 10 million downloads in three months, a hot sauce brand taking Indian flavours global, a SaaS company creating a “mutual fund AMC in a box,” and a spacetech firm building Synthetic Aperture Radar technology with ISRO expertise.
360 ONE Asset boasts a proprietary deal pipeline built through a network of over 7,000 founders and experts.
Its advisory board includes industry leaders such as Gaurav Kushwaha, Nigel Vaz, Vaibhav Domkundwar, and Ashwin Mittal.
Sameer Nath, CIO & Head of Private Equity & Venture Capital, underlined the fund's vision to help shape the next generation of Indian unicorns.
