• Shimmer is a healthcare platform that offers 1:1 remote ADHD coaching, helping individuals manage ADHD in a personalized and accessible manner.
  • Founded by Vikram Sreedhar and Christal Wang, Shimmer's mission is to empower those with ADHD through tailored coaching, combining technology and behavioral strategies.
  • With a user-friendly interface and data-driven insights, Shimmer ensures clients receive real-time support and guidance, enhancing their ability to cope with ADHD challenges.

There has been a growing awareness of mental health disorders and the need to recognize these issues in every sphere of life, personal and professional.

This has resulted in a profound impact on individuals, families, and communities as a whole.

This will encourage individuals and businesses to speak openly about these struggles and seek help without fearing judgment.

However, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) remains one of the most misunderstood and under-addressed conditions.

With a surge in the number of people trying to juggle work, family, and mindless distractions all around them, those with ADHD are in a battle with themselves.

The Healthcare industry is increasingly moving towards digital solutions to bridge the gap between traditional therapy and other real-world challenges.

More platforms are transforming how individuals are trying to access care to elevate their status.

Pioneering ADHD Assistance through Remote Coaching

Shimmer is an app that combines personalized ADHD coaching with specialized tools. They are offering a unique and effective solution through 1:1 remote coaching.

The platform is designed to meet the specific needs of individuals leading a life with ADHD, by equipping them with skills needed to navigate their daily lives through various skills.

Designed by expert ADHD clinicians and coaching psychologists, the platform enables video coaching, handcrafted productivity tools, and science-backed learning modules.

The care design team, who are ADHD diagnosed, themselves, created the program which stands on the shoulders of giants of helping professionals.

It incorporates interventions from the latest research in coaching and positive psychology, behavioral sciences, and health psychology.

The major features of the platform include:

1:1 ADHD Coaching

With weekly meetings with an expert ADHD coach — the clients experience a "heart-to-heart" with someone who gets them. Together, they get to chart their own personal journey toward the life they deserve.

Management System

With the management system and tools provided by Shimmer, the clients would stay accountable for change. They will set goals, crush weekly actions, visualize progress, and attend live events with the community.

In-app Support

The platform realizes that real work happens between sessions — in your life. The coach will be available at your fingertips and is ready to celebrate a win or talk their respective clients through a tough patch.

Technology-Driven Care at Your Fingertips

With technology taking over healthcare, Shimmer is trying to leverage this by providing a seamless, tech-driven interface that makes ADHD support more accessible than ever.

Founded in 2021 by Christal Wang, a neurodiverse entrepreneur, and Vikram Sreedhar, a Stanford graduate; Shimmer was a product of the dream of the duo who wanted to offer users access to ADHD coaching sessions at a lower price point than what Wang came across when she was first looking for sessions for herself.

"My life was paved with "too" this, "can't" that, & "stop" these: Chris, you're too talkative, too disruptive, can't listen, can't follow instructions, stop moving, stop daydreaming, sit in the corner... I was always “wrong”. I always felt wrong. Now, I know better." Christal Wang remarks.

Shimmer received $1.3 million in funding from more than 10 investors by the end of 2023. Since its debut on the App Store, it has served over 1000 clients.

It has also secured $2.2 million in seed funding to enhance its AI-driven services. Shimmer’s approach combines live sessions with expert ADHD coaches and AI tools to create personalized strategies for members.

“Living with ADHD can be isolating and challenging. At Shimmer, we’re dedicated to providing the support and tools needed for individuals to feel empowered and successful.
Our platform is designed to be a powerful tool to help people reach their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.”
Christal Wang added.

Shimmer plans to continue to educate the broader community on how to create more inclusive spaces and support their neurodiverse colleagues and loved ones.
