Over 1,000 Petronas stations in Malaysia will be able to accept digital fuel payments easily through the TNG eWallet thanks to a strategic agreement established by TNG Digital Sdn Bhd and Setel Ventures Sdn Bhd.
Through the "Petronas via Setel" mini program, this partnership incorporates Setel's groundbreaking "pump-and-pay" technology into the TNG eWallet app, enabling users to pay and refuel at the pump without the need for further apps.
Through the integration of digital services, loyalty incentives, and fuel payments onto a single platform, the alliance seeks to improve convenience for Malaysian drivers.
“This partnership with Setel supports our goal of integrating practical, everyday services into the lives of our users, said TNG Digital CEO Alan Ni.
Alan Ni also highlighted that fuel payments are a regular part of your daily routine, and this collaboration is designed to make the process quicker, smoother, and more convenient. It also offers you more touchpoints across Petronas’ nationwide network.
With each transaction, customers can accrue GOrewards points from TNG eWallet in addition to Mesra Rewards points for both new and returning users who link their Mesra ID to Setel.
In order to promote adoption among both new and existing users, the first 50,000 eligible transactions made through the mini program will get RM5 in Mesra Rewards points as a celebration of the launch.
This project supports the objectives of both businesses, which are to improve retail experiences and digital mobility.
The collaboration redefines convenience at gas stations across the country by utilising Petronas' vast network and TNG eWallet's sizable user base to establish new touchpoints for a digitally engaged audience.
The connection gives drivers a more intelligent and satisfying refuelling experience and highlights Malaysia's increasing acceptance of cashless alternatives.
