• EzyRemit will use Thunes’ network to enable real-time, low-cost money transfers across 45+ countries, boosting speed and security for global remittances.
  • The partnership allows EzyRemit users to send money instantly to mobile wallets, bank accounts, and cash pickup points worldwide.

Thunes and EzyRemit have agreed on a strategic partnership that will enable faster, more secure, and more affordable global money transfers for expatriates and international communities worldwide.

The partnership, announced at the end of July 2025, will enable EzyRemit—a fast-emerging digital money transfer operator—to utilise Thunes' Direct Global Network, offering real-time payouts to more than 45 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

By direct integration, EzyRemit consumers can make instant payments to billions of mobile wallets, bank accounts, payment cards, and cash pickup points.

This transformation significantly enhances transactional speed, transparency, and security, fundamentally changing the remittance experience for diaspora communities.

The partnership is especially effective in high-ticket payment flows like Australia to the Philippines—a path that is anticipated to generate more than $183 million in digital remittances in 2025, with a growth rate of over 8% annually until 2029.

“EzyRemit’s focus on providing seamless, real-time cross-border payments to empower overseas communities aligns perfectly with Thunes’ mission to enable the next billion end users to participate in the global economy," said Andrew Stewart, Chief Revenue Officer at Thunes.

Allan Nguyen, EzyRemit Co-founder, stressed that having access to Thunes' established network enables EzyRemit to make seamless, real-time payments globally, and it reinforces its purpose of providing safe, affordable, and empowering financial solutions for the world.

EzyRemit services over 150 nations and has a significant presence in the world's most important financial centres.

With Thunes' sound payment infrastructure, the two companies are poised to enhance global financial inclusion and meet the service needs of expatriates worldwide.

Thunes is headquartered in Singapore and has operations in 14 cities worldwide, including Atlanta, Barcelona, Beijing, Dubai, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, London, Manila, Nairobi, Paris, Riyadh, San Francisco, and Shanghai.
