T-Hub has announced the appointment of Kavikrut as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective March 10, 2025. The move comes as the startup incubator aims to strengthen its role in fostering entrepreneurship and scaling startups through industry collaborations, global market access, and specialized programs.

With a track record of supporting over 2,000 startups, T-Hub is a key player in Telangana’s startup ecosystem. The appointment of Kavikrut is expected to drive its mission further to empower entrepreneurs and accelerate the development of innovative products and services.

Kavikrut previously served as Chief Growth Officer at OYO, where he led the company’s expansion across more than 100 cities in India, launched new ventures, and scaled multiple business functions.

In 2018, he played a key role in OYO’s international expansion into Japan, working in partnership with Yahoo! Japan and SoftBank Japan. His experience in scaling businesses and driving market expansion is expected to strengthen T-Hub’s role as a startup enabler.

Kavikrut began his career as a healthcare startup founder and later worked with Amazon and Piramal Group. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MSc in Finance from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.

Commenting on the appointment, Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (ITE&C) and Industries & Commerce Departments of the Telangana government, stated:

“Kavikrut’s passion for startups, global experience, and hands-on operational skills make him the ideal leader for T-Hub. His leadership will play a crucial role in making India a powerhouse of entrepreneurship.”

BVR Mohan Reddy, Founder Chairman of Cyient and Founding Director at T-Hub, emphasized the significance of the leadership change, stating that Kavikrut’s appointment as CEO marks an important milestone for T-Hub.

He noted that Kavikrut’s entrepreneurial mindset and proven track record of leading high-performance teams would play a key role in shaping India’s next generation of startups. Reddy expressed confidence that T-Hub would continue to foster a thriving ecosystem for entrepreneurs under the new leadership.

Kavikrut expressed enthusiasm for his new role, highlighting Telangana’s growing startup landscape.

“Telangana’s commitment to startups has been truly inspiring to me, and I am honoured to have the opportunity to build upon the pioneering work that T-Hub has been doing for the past decade. I am excited by the potential of Hyderabad, the city I hail from, as it steadily grows into a hub for startups building products and services from India for the world,” he said.

Under his leadership, T-Hub aims to enhance the startup ecosystem by enabling founders to scale, achieve profitability, and maximize their impact. The focus remains on further solidifying Hyderabad and Telangana’s reputation as a leading destination for entrepreneurship and innovation.
