SuperGaming, a gaming giant based in Pune, has raised $15 million in a Series B fundraising round headed by Skycatcher and Steadview Capital.

This raises the company's valuation to $100 million, which is over five times more than its 2021 valuation of $21 million.

Through a partnership with Brazilian esports organization Loud.GG, the company will launch its flagship battle royale game, Indus Battle Royale, in Latin America first, with plans to expand into the Middle East and other emerging markets.

This substantial capital infusion will support the game's global expansion.

“The sophisticated, cloud-based SaaS solution is meticulously designed for building and managing global, hyperscale, real-time multiplayer games for lower-end devices in emerging markets,” the company said in a statement.

SuperGaming wants to expand geographically as well as scale its development skills, hire additional employees, and create new intellectual properties (IPs).

The company's cloud-based infrastructure, SuperPlatform, which was developed in collaboration with Google Cloud and is intended especially for creating and overseeing massive, real-time multiplayer games, will also be expanded with the help of the additional funding.

SuperPlatform, designed for low-end devices commonly used in emerging economies, integrates AI-assisted tools for development, analytics, social features, and monetization.

Not only did Skycatcher and Steadview participate in the fundraising round, but also well-known Web3 backers like Polygon cofounder Sandeep Nailwal, a16z Speedrun, Bandai Namco's 021 Fund, Neowiz, and Polygon Ventures.

In this round, current investors Skycatcher, AET Japan, and BACE Capital also raised their investments.

With current projects like Tower Conquest: Metaverse Edition and the creation of a Layer-3 blockchain, B3 GameChain, to facilitate asset continuity and digital ownership across games like Silly Royale, SuperGaming has demonstrated its expansion into Web3 gaming.

With over 200 million installs combined, SuperGaming's catalog of games includes titles including Silly Royale, Tower Conquest, Battle Stars, and MaskGun.

Roby John, Sreejit J, Navneet Waraich, Christelle D'Cruz, and Sanket Nadhani formed SuperGaming. It employs more than 120 people in Singapore and Pune.
