• Solana faced a record-high 75% failure rate in non-vote transactions amid a surge in network activity due to memecoin mania.

According to Dune Analytics data from Thursday, 75% of all non-vote transactions on the Solana blockchain were unsuccessful. This occurred during an uptick in network activity on Solana, brought by the recent memecoin mania. 

Not to mention, this is the highest recorded failure rate to date.

Solana CEO Anatoly Yakovenko voiced his frustration on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the challenges in addressing congestion issues within the network. 

Solana supporter and CEO of Helius, Mert Mumtaz also took the matter to X and pointed out that most of the Solana's non-vote transaction failures were merely due to "bot spam."

“There is a stat going around CT about failed transactions on Solana. It is misleading and 90% of the people using it don't know what it means,” wrote Mumtaz.  

The Helius CEO further went on to explain the matter in his long X post.

What’s more interesting is that Solana experienced network congestion issues when the Solana community's Superteam released a promotional video targeting Ethereum and criticizing ETHMAXI.

The video claims that millions of developers are adversely affected by ETHMAXI and urges them to transition to Solana via Wormhole.

“The doctor diagnosed you with ETHMAXI syndrome. Please immediately cross-chain to Solana via @wormhole to get treatment,” the translated caption of the post read.

The video was also shared by the official Solana account and the chairman of the Solana Foundation.
