The Indian-origin AI enterprise platform Refold AI has raised $6.5 million in a seed fundraising round that was co-led by Tidal Ventures and Eniac Ventures. Notable angel investors, Better Capital, Ahead VC, Karman Ventures, Z21, and others also participated.

The startup, which is based in Bengaluru and San Mateo and is committed to using AI-native technology to change the corporate integration landscape, has reached a major milestone with the funding.

Refold AI, which was founded in 2023 by Jugal Anchalia and Abhishek Kumar, is a platform that uses self-governing AI agents to automate and maintain system integrations without the need for human involvement.

The technology seeks to replace conventional manual coding and middleware work that is outsourced with intelligent agents that can write and update integration code, learn how systems interact, and adjust to software changes.

The $350 billion global market that businesses spend each year on manual integrations and consultancy is addressed by this breakthrough.

Currently, this startup supports over 1,500 active users, processes over 30 million API requests monthly, and serves over 30 paying commercial clients, including companies like Incorta and Naehas.

The main goals of the additional funding are to assist Refold's expanding clientele, improve product integrations, and enlarge the company's engineering staff.

Jugal Anchalia, the startup's CEO and co-founder, stressed that the company was established to get rid of the confusion and intricacy of integrations that take up too much technical time.

"We were spending more time managing chaos than building software. Integrations are repeatable and cumbersome—they should not need humans."

Refold AI aims to establish itself as a significant participant in the AI-driven corporate software market by expanding its integration solutions and creating smooth, low-friction deployment tools to assist businesses in updating their AI infrastructure.
