• Unbound secures $4M seed funding led by Race Capital to expand its AI safety platform.
  • Unbound aims to strengthen internal LLM orchestration, expand integrations, and grow its India team.

Race Capital led a $4 million seed funding round for Unbound, which helps businesses implement generative AI tools safely and responsibly throughout their organizations. Other prominent angel investors included Massive Tech Ventures, Y Combinator, Wayfinder Ventures, and others.

Alpha Square Group, Northside Ventures, Liquid2, Pioneer Fund, Scale Asia Ventures, SBXI, and prominent angel investors John Brownstein (Chief Innovation Officer, Boston Children's Hospital), Trishan Panch (CSO LuminHealth), Ram Shriram (founding board member at Google), and many more were involved in the round.

According to the press release from Unbound, the money raised will be used for internal model orchestration for businesses implementing open-source LLMs, strengthening model routing capabilities, increasing integrations throughout the AI ecosystem, and hiring and growing in India.

Unbound claims that it provides IT departments with the visibility and controls required to implement and oversee AI solutions in the company in a secure manner. Its AI Gateway offers real-time protection, model routing, and usage analytics by connecting to widely used tools such as Cursor, Roo, Cline, or internal document copilots.

“As AI tools become mainstream, enterprises are turning to flexibility and control. They want visibility into what’s being used, assurance that their data is protected, and the ability to swap in better models as the space evolves. Unbound is the bridge that makes that possible,” said Rajaram Srinivasan, co-founder and CEO of Unbound.

More than 500 instances of personally identifiable information, including patient records, phone numbers, and customer names, as well as hundreds of private credentials, such as connection strings, API keys, and passwords, have already been stopped from leaking, thanks to Unbound.

Founded in 2023 by Rajaram Srinivasan and Vignesh Subbiah, Unbound assists businesses in using generative AI technologies in a responsible and safe manner throughout their firms.

Unbound helps regulate the flow of sensitive data, gives comprehensive insight into usage patterns, and makes it possible for policy enforcement to conform to company norms. Adoption of enterprise AI is made safer, more transparent, and easier to handle by Unbound.
