In a significant boost to digital education and job readiness, Oracle has partnered with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) to provide free training in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and other emerging technologies to 400,000 students across the state.
The initiative, designed to enhance employability and career prospects, will offer students access to over 300 hours of structured digital learning through Oracle MyLearn—Oracle University's comprehensive training platform.
Wide-Ranging Curriculum and Certifications
Students at various learning stages will receive foundational and professional-level instruction on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AI services, OCI Generative AI, data science, Oracle APEX, DevOps, and security. The program includes curated learning paths and rigorous training modules that build both foundational and advanced competencies.
Beyond training, the initiative enables students to earn professional certifications and digital badges that validate their skills. These badges will help streamline the hiring process by highlighting job-ready candidates to employers and improving job placement efforts within Andhra Pradesh.
Aiming for a Tech-Forward Workforce
The APSSDC sees this collaboration as a major milestone in advancing the state’s digital workforce.
“Our collaboration with Oracle is a huge milestone in strengthening and expanding the digital capabilities of the youth of Andhra Pradesh,” said G. Ganesh Kumar, I.A.S, MD & CEO, APSSDC.
“We are determined to produce a highly skilled IT workforce and become the IT knowledge hub for the world.”
Shailender Kumar, senior vice president and regional managing director at Oracle India and NetSuite – Japan and Asia Pacific, emphasized the need for constant upskilling.
“Oracle University’s Skills Development Initiative offers world-class training and certifications that not only build in-demand digital competencies, but also helps students validate their expertise, enhance employability, and bring long-term stability to their careers,” he said.
The initiative marks a decisive step toward bridging the skills gap and preparing students for future technology-driven careers.
