Barack Obama has officially joined Bluesky, the decentralized social network seen as an alternative to X. The former president’s arrival was confirmed by Bluesky representative Rose Wang on Sunday.

In his first post, Obama marked the 15th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), highlighting its impact and the importance of collective efforts to create change.

The move adds significant visibility to Bluesky, which has been gaining traction as more users migrate from X, formerly known as Twitter.

Following shifts in political dynamics and Elon Musk’s growing influence over X, many left-leaning users, including prominent politicians, have joined Bluesky.

The platform now boasts over 33 million users, with figures like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez already active.

Obama maintains a large social media presence across multiple platforms, with over 130 million followers on X and 55 million on Facebook. His move to Bluesky signals a growing shift in the digital political landscape.
