Nourish You, a superfood brand specializing in plant-based nutrition, has raised ₹16 crore (approximately $1.84 million) in its Series A funding round, led by SIDBI Venture Capital.
The investment follows its ₹16.6 crore ($2 million) seed round in 2023, which included backing from investors such as Y Janardhana Rao, Rohit Chennamaneni, and Nikhil Kamath.
The Bengaluru-based company plans to use the fresh capital to scale operations, enhance customer retention, and expand its product portfolio. It also aims to strengthen its international presence in markets such as Australia, Europe, and the United States while integrating AI-driven technology to personalize consumer experiences.
"This investment marks a pivotal milestone in our journey to make sustainable superfoods a part of everyday nutrition. With SIDBI Venture's support, we are set to scale rapidly, drive product innovation, and solidify our position as a global superfoods leader," said Krishna Reddy, Co-founder of Nourish You.
Founded in 2015 by Sowmya Reddy, Krishna Reddy, and Rakesh Kilaru, Nourish You focuses on homegrown, organic quinoa and chia cultivation. The company operates across 5,000 acres of farmland in Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh and adheres to clean-label, vegan, and fair-trade principles.
The company’s product line includes edible seeds like quinoa, chia, flax, pumpkin, sunflower, and watermelon seeds, along with breakfast cereals and plant-based dairy alternatives through its 2023 acquisition of vegan dairy brand One Good. Nourish You has expanded its footprint beyond India into markets including the GCC, Nepal, Kenya, Mongolia, and the Maldives.
Arup Kumar, Managing Director of SIDBI Venture Capital, highlighted the company's growth potential, stating,
"Nourish You embodies India's shift toward nutrient-dense, plant-based diets. With its indigenous superfood offerings, the brand is well-positioned to build a globally competitive, India-first brand that aligns with our 'Make in India, Make for the World' philosophy."
With this funding, Nourish You is aiming to surpass ₹100 crore in net revenue within the next 18-24 months, further establishing its position in the superfood sector.
