According to the company, SUTRA-R0 incorporates insights from DeepSeek’s R1 model, leveraging reinforcement learning (RL) and distillation techniques to enhance performance. It is designed to interpret complex scenarios, solve multi-step problems, and generate actionable insights across various industries.
In benchmark tests, SUTRA-R0-Preview reportedly outperformed models like DeepSeek-R1-32B and OpenAI-o1-mini in multilingual tasks, particularly in Hindi (81.44), Gujarati (79.39), Tamil (77.82), and Bengali (78.91). The evaluations were conducted using a 5-shot assessment framework, covering languages spoken by more than half of the global population.
“SUTRA-R0 achieves a balanced integration of multilingual understanding and reasoning, ensuring precise decision-making across diverse linguistic landscapes,” TWO AI stated.
The model is expected to have applications in sectors such as financial services, healthcare, and customer service, while also offering personalized experiences in e-commerce, entertainment, and personal finance.
TWO AI, which raised a $20 million seed fund in February 2022 from Jio Platforms and South Korean internet conglomerate Naver, has positioned itself as an enterprise-focused AI provider. Unlike other AI startups, it primarily targets large enterprise customers rather than individual consumers.
“Jio is one of our major enterprise customers, and we also work with clients like Shinhan Bank and Samsung SDS in Korea,” said TWO AI founder Pranav Mistry.
He further noted the company’s collaboration with NVIDIA and Microsoft on technology initiatives and emphasized Asia-Pacific (APAC) as a key market, with a focus on India, Korea, Japan, and Vietnam.
“We are targeting India, Korea, Japan, and some parts of Southeast Asia, like Vietnam, specifically the central region. APAC is one of the key markets that we are always going to focus on,” Mistry added.
TWO AI plans to release a detailed benchmarking report in the coming weeks, expanding language support and refining SUTRA-R0 for industries requiring advanced AI-driven insights.
