• Bolt launches Bolt Business in Malaysia, introducing a corporate ride-hailing service aimed at improving cost efficiency and transparency in employee travel.
  • Premium “Bolt Executive” rides debut in Klang Valley, offering luxury MPVs like Toyota Vellfire and Alphard for business professionals.

With the official debut of Bolt, a business-focused ride-hailing service in Malaysia, the European e-hailing behemoth Bolt has ushered in a new age of corporate mobility solutions in the nation.

The August 13, 2025, launch event demonstrates Bolt's dedication to transforming employee mobility through cost-effectiveness and digital efficiency.

Bolt Business, which is licensed by Malaysia's Land Public Transport Agency (APAD), seeks to consolidate and simplify employee ride management for small businesses.

In order to improve transparency, control, and productivity in Malaysian workplaces, the platform gives businesses the ability to centrally manage corporate travel, establish individual trip regulations, and obtain real-time insights into business transportation expenses.

Initially concentrating on the Klang Valley, Bolt Business offers a variety of ride options, including the new premium "Bolt Executive" category featuring luxury MPVs like Toyota Vellfires and Alphards, by utilizing Bolt's global experience, which spans over 600 cities globally.

"With this launch, we’re offering a smarter, more transparent way to manage travel, while also creating more earning opportunities for local driver-partners," said Afzan Lutfi, General Manager of Bolt Malaysia.

This meets the growing need for upscale, reliable mobility among business professionals by catering to executives looking for more comfort and sophisticated travel experiences.

Bolt's extremely competitive commission rate of only 15%, which is among the lowest in the market and guarantees increased take-home earnings for partners, is a noteworthy advantage for drivers.

Bolt Business offers customers clear pricing with tolls included in fares as well as cutting-edge safety features, including in-app ride ratings and driver and passenger contact information anonymization.

With Bolt's debut, the previously Grab-dominated ride-hailing market in Malaysia is expected to become more competitive. With plans already in place for a soon-to-be nationwide expansion, the company's driver-first philosophy and emphasis on digital work travel solutions are expected to benefit both local drivers and businesses.
