Bigbasket, a TATA Enterprise, launched BB Matrix, an end-to-end SaaS-based supply chain platform that provides comprehensive visibility throughout the entire supply chain. The platform is designed to offer enterprises real-time updates, fast-tracking of bottlenecks, and data-driven decision-making capabilities to enhance supply chain efficiency.

“To cater to the pressing demand for agile, robust, and cost-efficient supply chains, we have made BB Matrix available to enterprises across different sectors that go beyond retail and e-commerce, like manufacturing, automobiles, aviation, consumer goods and more,” Rakshit Daga, CPTO and head of SaaS business at Bigbasket said

As per a report, BB Matrix can provide advanced supply chain solutions to save money and boost productivity. This SaaS system has reduced transportation costs by almost 50%, cut lead time by about 60%, and achieved up to 100% supply chain visibility with its innovative technology.

Founded in 2011, Big Basket is one of India’s largest online grocery stores, handling over 15 million orders each month. Their mission is to provide a seamless and convenient shopping experience. 

However, Big Basket faced challenges with fragmented Order Management Systems (OMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transport Management Systems (TMS). An in-house comprehensive Supply Chain Management (SCM) platform, TATA BB Matrix, was built to unify the disjointed systems and help Big Basket scale.
