Arrington Capital, the Web3-focused investment firm co-founded by TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington, has expanded its leadership team by appointing veteran investor Ravi Kaza as Partner and Chief Investment Officer (CIO), and promoting Colton Conley to Partner.

The firm announced the move as part of its ongoing efforts to scale its investment capabilities across emerging digital asset markets.

Ravi Kaza brings over 25 years of experience in managing and investing in disruptive technologies. His background includes senior roles at Pequot Capital Management and Duquesne Capital Management, and he founded Seasons Capital Management, a multi-billion-dollar alternative investment firm. Kaza has also been a long-time advisor and limited partner to Arrington Capital, with deep exposure to digital assets through direct investments, tokens, and hedge funds.

“I have been a long-time limited partner and advisor to the fund and enjoy the creativity of the deal structures that Arrington Capital puts together,” said Kaza. “I look forward to continuing and evolving the legacy of thoughtful investment in liquid markets that has been a part of the fund since inception.”

In recent months, Kaza has been actively involved in Arrington Capital’s investments in Defi Development Corporation ($DFDV) and Nakamoto ($KDLY), reflecting his growing role in shaping the firm’s strategic focus at the intersection of traditional and decentralized finance.

Meanwhile, Colton Conley, who joined Arrington Capital as a Principal in 2023, has been promoted to Partner. Conley is recognized for his strong grasp of DeFi and Web3 markets, as well as his ability to connect with technical founders. He previously founded Prime Protocol, a cross-chain lending platform that raised $3 million in venture capital before its successful exit in 2024.

With prior experience as a quantitative trader in Global Fixed Income at Citadel and a Yale graduate, Conley has led several of Arrington Capital’s notable early-stage investments, including Redstone, Rilla, Space and Time, and aPriori.

“It has been fantastic to work alongside the team at Arrington Capital,” Conley said. “We continue to see unique deals and push the envelope with what is possible, and I am excited about what the future will bring for the fund, our upcoming investments, and innovative founding teams.”

Michael Arrington praised the additions, calling Kaza’s expertise critical for navigating the convergence of traditional finance and Web3, while noting that Conley’s ability to source and support disruptive founders has proven essential to the firm’s evolving strategy.

Founded in 2017, Arrington Capital has invested in hundreds of blockchain startups globally and operates multiple funds, including the original Arrington XRP Capital. With a leadership team that combines Silicon Valley venture experience with crypto-native expertise, the firm aims to remain at the forefront of digital asset investing.
